As a progressive, experimental all-age Christian community we have certain core values that give us our sense of identity. We aspire to be…

Christ-Centred

We seek to hold Christ at the centre of everything we do, and recognise that it is Christ who is waiting to be encountered in all people and all things. For us, Christ leads us deep into the heart of how things really are. Christ is the ‘Really Real’ and it is through Christ that all fractured relationships are restored and we are made who we are meant to be. Jesus – the Christ – is our teacher and we are trying to be students of Christ who is God-in-skin-amongst-us.

Missional

Mission can be something of a dirty word – suggesting coercion and ‘bible bashing’. We don’t mean it in that way at all. When we talk of mission we simply mean ‘what God is doing in the world’. We believe this has to do with restoring and renewing all things. We want the things we do, and who we are, to join in with what God is doing in the world – so this will include lots of things including seeking justice and peace-making.

Generously-Orthodox

We are trying to value all the streams of rich tradition that make up the Christian way. We are trying to resist being pigeon-holed as one thing or another and we are enriched by different perspectives and pathways. It is important to us that people with different perspectives are respected and valued.

Creative

We seek to be creative and innovative in the things we do, particularly in our gatherings. We want to engage positively with media and the arts, be a spiritual home for artists of all kinds, and be expressive in our worship of God.

Anglican

We value being part of the global anglican family and we draw identity from this ‘tribe’. In the most immediate sense this means being part of the Anglican Diocese of Oxford under the leadership of Bishop John.

Community

Home is trying to be a community not just a meeting or gathering. We want to learn to build good relationships with each other as we believe it is in relationship that we discover more of who we really are.
